The publication, Changes in the education system for children and youth in the Malopolskie Voivodeship is the years 2017-2024 is the first study of its kind, conducted by the Statistical Office in Kraków, aiming to present a detailed analysis of the educational situation in the Malopolska Voivodeship.

The analysis covers aspects related to the implementation of compulsory schooling, the effectiveness of education, and social support for children and youth in education. It also pays particular attention to the mental health of children and youth. The study provides a comprehensive summary of statistical data on the functioning of educational and upbringing institutions at various stages of education, taking into account the specificity of special education and art schools. It includes data on infrastructure, the number of students and graduates, teaching staff, and selected forms of care.
