The publication shows the results of the 2021 National Population and Housing Census, conducted in the period from 1 April to 30 September 2021. The publication is a thematic study on the demographic and social characteristics of the voivodship. The study contains an analytical commentary, enriched with a graphical presentation in the form of maps and charts, as well as methodological notes describing the basic principles, concepts and definitions. The analytical part characterizes the size and demographic structure of the population, country of birth and citizenship, national-ethnic and religious affiliation, as well as the level of education of inhabitants of Małopolskie Voivodship. Additionally, the characteristics of disabled persons and persons living in the collective living quarters were presented. Basic data are shown against the background of nationwide results and in comparison with the previous population census in 2011.
