I present to you the publication entitled ‘Tourism in Małopolskie Voivodship in 2022 and 2023’ presenting selected statistical information about tourism in one of the most attractive and at the same time most frequently visited regions in Poland.

The study contains data on tourist accommodation resources, taking into account the spatial differentiation in the Voivodship and in comparison with other regions.

We have presented information about tourists accommodated in Małopolskie Voivodship considering numerous foreign guests.

In this edition of the publication, we have expanded the basic subject matter to include selected aspects related to tourism in mountain areas. These areas occupy a significant part of the region, and thanks to their natural diversity and cultural wealth, they are conducive to the development of various forms of tourism.

We have prepared most of the information for the Voivodship, subregions and powiats, and data on accommodation facilities also in gmina layout. A valuable supplement to the data from statistical surveys presented in this study is the information provided to us by: Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society, Mountain Volunteer Search and Rescue, Tatra Volunteer Search and Rescue, Polish Tourist Organisation and the Polish Association of Pieniny Raftsmen, for which we express our sincere thanks.

Together with the authors, we hope that this publication will be an interesting and useful source of information for you, as well as an incentive to better understand Małopolskie Voivodship.
