We are pleased to present the twentieth edition of the publication “Structural changes of groups of the national economy entities recorded in the REGON register in Małopolskie Voivodship, 2023”. In the current edition we presented data on the number and structure of entities of the national economy entered in the REGON register as of the end of 2023.

The presentation of information refers to previous editions of the publication. Data are presented in division into legal forms, ownership sectors, types of activity, expected number of employed persons and cross-sections by subregions, powiats and gminas. Additionally, information on newly entered entities, those removed from the register and entities that suspended their activities was included. Diversified cross-sections of the presented data, comparison to previous years and the presented dynamics make it possible to observe changes in the number of entities of the national economy.

The study consists of an executive summary enriched with charts, an extensive tabular part and methodological notes containing the basic concepts and definitions used in the REGON register as well as a description of the basic data groupings.
