For the twenty first time I present you the Statistical Yearbook of Kraków. The elaboration is published cyclically, every two years. The publication contains a wide set of statistical data characterising both living standards of inhabitants and the state of economy of the capital of Małopolskie voivodship.
While the thematic layout remains the same, the main supplements comprise:
- results of the elections to the City Council held on 16 XI 2014 as well as of direct election of the president of Kraków in 2014,
- population projection for 2015-2050,
- mass events in 2013-2014.
The subject matter and presentation of data refer to previous editions of the Yearbook. The publication consists of review tables presenting basic information on Kraków in 2005-2014 as well as comparison to voivodship and selected cities being the seat of voivode in 2014. The second part of the publication includes thematic chapters containing many important areas beginning from widely understood demographical issues to selected elements of technical and
social infrastructure. Every chapter is preceded with notes containing explanations regarding terminology, methodology and scope of information. During work on particular chapters the results of surveys of public statistics as well as
outside statistics were used. Regional accounts data for 2010, 2012 and 2013 are presented according to a new European System of National and Regional Accounts “ESA 2010”. Beside the book, the publication was prepared in electronic form available at the website of the Statistical Office in Kraków http://www.krakow.stat.gov.pl as well as on CD. Presenting the Statistical Yearbook of Kraków, 2015, I would like to express my gratitude to all persons and institutions for cooperation during its realization. I hope that data included in the Yearbook will enable to seize main tendencies and directions of the development of the city.
