The Statistical Yearbook of Małopolskie Voivodship is a comprehensive annual publication, which contains key statistical information characterising the living standard of the society and the state of the voivodship’s economy.

Detailed statistical data are presented in 21 thematic sections. Statistical tables are supplemented with maps and charts that visualize the data and facilitate their interpretation as well as general notes explaining the methodology and terminology.

Due to the ongoing structural transformation of rural areas, a graphic illustrating the Delimitation of Rural Areas (DOW) for statistical purposes has been presented once again. Its goal is to ensure a uniform presentation of statistical survey results for rural areas and to highlight their diversity. The study is enriched by the results of the survey on the structure of wages and salaries for October 2024, published every 2 years. Regional accounts data for 2020–2023 have been revised compared to those previously published, following the revision of the annual national accounts.

The individual sections were developed using statistical research results from official statistics and non-statistical sources. Moreover, administrative sources are increasingly being used, providing data on employed persons, pharmacies, medical staff and childcare for children up to the age of 3.
