We are pleased to present you the publication entitled “Tourism in Małopolskie Voivodship in 2018 and 2019” with the most important information about tourism in Małopolskie Voivodship before the coronavirus pandemic. The publication presents statistical data referring to the period when the state of the epidemic and related

restrictions have not yet had an impact on tourism industry in Małopolskie Voivodship.

In the study, we described the potential of the tourism industry in the Małopolskie Voivodship, we analyzed the condition, structure, distribution and use of tourist accommodation facilities, including characteristics against the background of other voivodships. The study has been enriched with information about tourism in national parks, which are a unique resource of natural and landscape values. Majority of information in tabular part we presented in voivodship, subregion and powiat terms. Basic data on accommodation establishments are also presented in gmina terms. A valuable supplement to data from statistical surveys presented in this study are information that has been made available to us by the following organizations: PTTK, GOPR, TOPR, institutions organizing rafting on the Dunajec and Poprad rivers, for which we would like to thank.
